His Majesty King Felipe expresses his support and recognition of the whole DIA team

Madrid, 4 June 2020. Today, His Majesty King Felipe expressed his support and recognition of the immense efforts made by the whole DIA team during the COVID-19 crisis. In a telephone conversation with DIA Group Chairman Stephan DuCharme, King Felipe highlighted the essential work carried out by all employees over recent months.

For his part, DIA Group Chairman Stephan DuCharme thanked the King on behalf of all employees and franchisees for this recognition and expression of support. He also shared his pride in the level of commitment shown by all teams and the exemplary public service they have provided, noting in particular the local services provided as well as the support for vulnerable groups through the DIAContribuye2020 programme.

King Felipe and Stephan DuCharme also shared perspectives on the country’s future. In this context, the DIA Group Chairman outlined the company’s transformation plans to the King. “DIA’s future growth is a commitment of employees, franchisees, local suppliers and shareholders to serve customers and society with a modernised network of stores, a new commercial offer that adapts to their needs, accessible online shopping and a franchise model that offers growth opportunities for entrepreneurs,” Stephan DuCharme commented.
