Revitalising the franchise is one of the pillars of change within the Business Plan
For the ninth consecutive year, the company will be present at Expofranquicia.
With the aim of revitalising and promoting the franchise model and strengthening ties with franchisees, the company has created the Franchise Circle of Excellence, a multidisciplinary working group that includes representatives from the different areas of the company and the franchisees. The aim is to jointly implement projects (in an agile and rapid way) that will have an impact on franchisees’ day-to-day work.
The plans that are already being worked on include some related to logistics, franchisee training, and the range and variety of products. The work criteria of own stores and franchised stores are being unified so that operationally the teams work in the same way, with the same processes and procedures, while respecting the particularities of the franchise.
The Franchise Circle of Excellence is part of the Business and Transformation Plan that the company is implementing, putting the customer at the centre of all of its actions.
The DIA Group is the leading franchising company in Spain in terms of number of stores and business volume, and number four in Europe in the food distribution sector*. Currently, the DIA Group has 1,871 franchised stores in Spain, which represents 52% of the total number of stores. The company has been involved in franchises for 30 years, having opened the first franchised stores in 1989 in Tarancón, Cuenca.
For the ninth consecutive year, the DIA Group will be present at Expofranquicia, which will take place from the 4th to the 6th of April at IFEMA (Institución Ferial de Madrid).
DIA will have an information point of more than 80 m2 for visitors, with all the documentation necessary to start up a store under the franchise business model.
